Most recently, Marvelous and his crew encountered a man named Basco, who betrayed Maevelous and AkaRed when they used to be in the same crew. He could also use the Ranger Keys - namely, to summon puppets that have the appearance and powers of the rangers each key represents. Shortly after they first meet, Basco kidnaps Ahim, Doc, Joe, and Luka, demanding Marvelous bring the Ranger Keys he has to exchange for them. Thanks to some planning, Marvelous manages to both rescue his crew and keep all his Ranger Keys. After a battle, the Gokaigers defeated Basco, claiming 15 of Basco's Ranger Keys. However, they didn't know he had ten more. This is where her history ends.
personality: Ahim de Famille probably seems rather out of place amongst a group of pirates. With her polite demeanor and formal speech, she seems like the last person a pirate crew would want aboard. Being a former princess, this attitude comes to her naturally, and it stays with her no matter what sticky situation she happens to be in. She also happens to be the most 'good' out of the crew, tending to care and be concerned about others more than anyone else on the Galleon. She's the type of girl who, when kidnapped, will call up her teammates and ask them for a massive ransom without even flinching. When Marvelous threatened to 'keelhaul' a boy who stole his Ranger Key, she took off after him due to concern for both Marvelous and the boy he was chasing. Fitting in to the princess stereotype, Ahim is good with animals, even ones that aren't flesh and bone (such as Navi). Her desire to do what's right often conflicts with the desires of her teammates.
In contrast to this, it's mostly Ahim's inner traits that make her fit right in with the crew. She hates being the one to hold them back; she's determined, and does her best to become stronger when she has the opportunity. When she injured her ankle in one episode, she insisted the others leave her behind so the Zangyack didn't manage to attain one of the Grand Powers. She thinks of others above herself, and tends to put them first, even when she shouldn't. She has no problem getting her hands dirty, nor fighting, as her skills as a Gokaiger can attest.
Despite being prim and proper, she doesn't seem to get frightened easily, nor is she coddled by the crew. The exception to that is Luka, who sees her as a little sister, and is usually the first to run to her when she is injured or needs help. However, the two females share an understanding that each can take care of herself, and Luka doesn't baby Ahim as a result. Though she is usually quite honest, she can also be a very, very convincing actress when it's required, even to her fellow teammates. This may tie into her ability to disguise herself.
All in all, Ahim is a kind, gracious pirate who just happened to be a princess at one point. Underestimating her is a mistake more than one villain has made on the show.

Spurred by Luka asking about Ahim's handkerchief, Ahim decided to embroider Luka's name into a handkerchief of her own, and give it to the young woman on her birthday. Right now, she had the Gokaiger symbol complete, and was currently stitching Luka's name in cursive script in a corner, in her trademark yellow. She had been working on it for weeks, little by little. She tended to prick her fingers with the needle, and she knew if she pricked herself too much, Luka would see and get suspicious. That couldn't happen.
Suddenly, there were footsteps coming down the stairs. With a soft gasp, Ahim blew out the candle, shoved her project under the couch cushion, and let herself flop against the cushions, eyes closed and looking for all the world like she had fallen asleep stargazing. There was silence, and then the softest of rustles as Ahim felt a blanket get pulled over her. Fighting a smile, Ahim knew it was Luka. She was like the big sister Ahim never had, and though she was so tough and strong, she was also warm and kind. Their situations were similar: homes destroyed, family and friends mostly gone. But both had been replaced the Gokaigers filling holes for both of them. However, as much as Ahim loved her crew, Luka was... closer. She was always watching Ahim, keeping her safe while at the same time, knowing she could take care of herself if need be. That's why Ahim wanted to be stronger, so she could protect Luka just as much.
As Luka left to go up to the crow's nest (as she always did), Ahim sat up silently. watching those familiar shoes leave. She smiled and pulled out her project again, running her fingers over the thread. All that was there was 'Lu', the 'k' of her name still in progress. The more she stayed here, the more she never wanted to leave any of them. She cared, so deeply and thoroughly for them all, and the thought of separating from them for any reason broke her heart. So she wouldn't. Never. And she would take down the Zangyack herself if she had to, if it meant keeping them together. With a smile on her face, Ahim stood, looking up in the direction of the crow's nest. Her voice emerges as the softest of whispers.
